We'd love to see you...

According to the AAA, over a quarter of all Americans are projected to travel more than 50 miles from home during the Christmas and New Year's holiday - but fewer of them will be in Florida. What? Why ever not?
The annual holiday travel survey commissioned by the auto club showed 87.7 million Americans will be "going over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house", or by some other means to some other destination for the holidays. A year ago, the survey showed 84.5 million Americans planned to travel during the weeks of Christmas and New Year.
While travel is projected to increase nationwide, Florida and some other states are predicted to have fewer travelers.
Well, just to jog your memory, here are some of the reasons why anyone giving Florida the swerve this holiday season is just plain crazy.

1. Sunshine. It's not called the Sunshine State for nothing folks

2. Sea. Warm, calm, safe, full of fish. Just like the sea used to be.

3. Disney. Love it or hate it, you just have to see it.

4. Food. We're surrounded by the sea, we've got lots of fresh fish.

5. Cape Canaveral. It's just awesome.

6. Golf. Some of the best courses in the country, relaxed and easy. Just like your swing should be.

7. Wildlife. Manatees, dolphins, gators, birdlife, no too many spiders...

8. Diversity. From deserted beaches on the Panhandle, to cosmopolitan Miami, with tourist-friendly Orlando and paradise islands such as Anna Maria and vast skies of the keys.

9. Value for money. There's a very good reason why we're such a popular destination. And this is it.

10. Everything. Really, just everything about it is what makes Florida so special.

And if none of that is enough to tempt you here, then we're not sure we want you...
